Riversdale House & Gardens

Riversdale House & Gardens

Riversdale House can be traced back to as early as 1730, though as records were destroyed, the original farmhouse could have been built earlier than this. The Gardens themselves are mainly mixed perennial borders with some rare trees and specimens such as the mature Metrosideros excelsa, a New Zealand tree that is rare to find growing and flowering in Ireland's climate. There is a spectacular woodland walk that brings you to the edge of the Dodder River weir, all of this lending itself to the feel that you are in the deepest countryside.
