I was refreshing the compost in my outdoor pot plants when I came across these worms. Are they cause for concern as they seem to be in every pot.
Have been reading through other peoples questions. Our garden has also suffered. My escallonia suffered from a disease last year, I cut it back but I'm afraid this years frost has finished it. We have a boundary is 120 ft made up of olearia, not a leaf left on it. That hedge was planted with 19yrs. What are we to plant now, must we wait for years for it to grow as at this stage I can shake hands with the neighbours. What about Leylandii trees, can I top these every year to keep them a certain height.
I have a variegated poplar tree ( beautiful tree ) It is about 5yrs old. I would like to remove some of the the lower branches as it is resting on the lawn, plus I think it would look nicer with a bit of a trunk. Is it safe to do this and what time of year is best, Spring or Autumn?
Last Oct a severe storm hit my area and completely stripped bare all my escallonia hedge and Gold Brian shrubs, theres nothing left just twigs, actually everyone in my neighbourhood suffered the same. My garden items are 10-15yrs and never before has this happened. What can I do for them now. It is so sad to look at them now after all the care I gave them.
I potted some clippings from hedgeing, some didnt take. What can I use that mosspeat for?
I want to try growing strawberries in a pot. Do they grow like peas, upright and clinging to sticks.
