I treated for moss and scarified my lawns in October but before they had a chance to reestablish we had tradesmen tramping all over them for weeks. It is such a sorry sight I bought a hollow tine aerator to try help revive it but dont know at what distance to use the gadget. Can I put the little cores into my compost?

I purchased Miracle Grow Lawn Feed. Is this suitable to use now, or should I get a spring feed. Is liquid feed better or worse than granular feed?

Over an acre of new lawn set in September 2009. Conflicting advice being received regarding whether or not to feed it this Spring. It survived floods and frost and snow since November. No mowing done yet due to zero growth. If feed is recommended could you suggest the correct feed for the lawn please and how long to leave then before mowing it.

I planted a lawn last august it seems very patchy in some areas the grass is brown at the base and has green shoots growing out of it. When sowing the seed i used Humber Palmers organo -mineral Fertilisers No 13 and used it again in April. In june i put some sulphate of ammonia on it. Lawn looks well until it is cut

Have an acre of lawn. In parts it is not very thick. Is developing small patches of what looks like dyng grass which after a while run into eachother to give large areas. Tips of grss have a red hue in these problem areas. I think its red thread. Anyway I think it needs a good fertlising. Locas say the area needs potash. Can you recomend an educated guess as to wht would be a good mix ,ie 101020 or whatever. ApRECIATE WITHOUT SEEING it you can not maybe be as accurate as ou mightlike to be in recomending a good mix but your recomendation will be better thnmy wild guess. Ps local garden centers are little use, most recomend a fertiliser that must be aimed at small lawns as it would cost me a fortun to fertiise my acre.
