I have a pieris in the garden for roughly four years and it does not seem to have grown. There is new growth beginning which has bright red leaves. The old leaves are a yellow colour and it has never flowered. It is planted in the front of the garden which gets full sun. I have a south west facing garden. Perhaps this is the reason as I have another pieris which is in partial shade in a pot in the front of the house and has flowered and is doing well. Should I move it and when would be the best time.

I have a mahonia and phormium which were doing well until the bad weather. Both plants died off, re-sprouted and died again. Today I've noticed a sprout from beneath the soil on the mahonia and two weeks ago the phormium began to sprout. How can I protect them in case of more bad weather?

I have a clematis montana growing over my oil tank. It produces lovely white/pink flowers and has been growing for the last six years. However, this year there are no leaves on it at all and the branches are a brown/black colour. Would the frost have killed it do you think? I have bought an evergreen clematis just incase.

I have a weeping willow for the past five years and is doing well but because of the snow it toppled over and has become loose in the ground. I am now thinking of re-planting it in another part of the garden. When is the best time to transplant it and does it prefer shade or full sun? Also when it the best time to transplant a flowering cherry.
