I have an Andromeda Polifolia Compacta which had lovely white/pink flowers in May/June. These are in the pots which I bought them in. Over the past month or two the plants have gone very twiggy and long and have turned a brownish colour. Is this dead do you think? If not should I sow them in the garden.

I have two camelias but as a result of the cold spell all the buds have turned brown. Is there any hope that these will re-sprout and bloom next year. Do I need to cut off the brown buds that exist.?

I have a mahonia which is about five years old. It had lovely leaves and yellow flowers. Since the bad cold spell all the leaves have fallen off and the stalk is the only thing that is left. Is this dead or will it re-sprout again and should I feed it?

I have one lot of bamboos which are about fifty years old and there are a few hundred in that area. They don't look too healthy. They are growing in a shady area but yet would get plenty of rain. The bamboo stalk is brown and the leaves are brown/black colour before eventually turning green. On the branches themselves there is a yellowish colour. Is there any hope that this plant will survive?
