Attempted to grow Turnips for the first time this year. Harvest two and found when i cut it down the middle there was a hole in the middle. It looked like it never developed. The looked fine from the outside.I did cut a smaller turnip in half and found the middle looked ok.I would have eat it but my wife didn't like the look of it and put in the recycle bin.What is the hole from? lack of water / feedIs there a way of stopping it for future crops?

I have three Himalayan white bark birch trees growing the my front lawn. In the last few days (during this lovely dry spell) I noticed pale medium sized mushroom-like fungus growing around the bases of all three. The ground is quite dry at the moment. Need I worry?

I am trying to remove an ivy from my mother's house that has started to go up under the roof. I have managed to remove the ivy but it is leaving terrible marks on the walls that I cannot remove. Any advice on how to remove these marks.
