Have you ever heard of this plant and does it work, its supposed to deter cats and dogs as they dislike the smell of the plant. Do most garden centres sell it?
This is the first year that I have been unable to obtain granular weedol (weedol2) in any of the Dublin garden centres. They all stock liquid weedol ( weedol max superfast) I tried to buy weedol 2 on the internet but a notice came up saying that weedol 2 cannot be delivered here. Any idea what this all about and how can i obtain weedol 2.
Outside my house is a lamppost with a rectangular area around its base, roughly 4' by 2' & about 6 inches deep with compacted soil. It is a very exposed site & drainage is poor when rain is heavy. Have you any recommendations for a plant(s) that could survive here to make it a more pleasant view?
now that the lilies are more or less finished for the year, whats the best way to propogate them? are the scales pulled off and put into a bag of moss peat and allowed to sprout shoots?
Surely by now someone has invented an efficient tool to dig up potatoes without damaging them? I feel so disappointed when I accidentally slice or prong a spud when I'm digging them up. Do you have any ideas re: a non-damaging way to dig up spuds? This question refers to small scale potato production in the vegetable garden....not mass production.
Of 5 ten year old whitebeam( i think) trees , the leaves on two have shrivelled and they have stopped growing. The other three look like they are heading the same way. Pic of spotty leaves is attached. Twigs do not seem completely dead as yet.The garden is fairly heavy clay.All 5 trees flourished up til now. Is ther anything i can do?
