I have a problem with my beech trees, planted as bare roots this year, the leaves have yellowed and have some holes and brown around the edges. also some larger beech and ash that were planted before we bought the house have the same with some of the small branches dying. the top half of one beech died completely and broke off. It is a very limey area could this be a cause? Or could greenfly cause this much damage?

My tomatoes are starting to ripen, but when you look underneath the tomato, they are starting to go black/grey at the bottom. What can i do to prevent this?
Beech hedge - Planted 1.5 yrs, went well for the first while but now dying back from the top down. No obvious signs of insects. No chemicals used in the area. Couldn't be drought!?! Beside a meadow.
