Is it ok to put ashes directly into earth where veg would be planted? Is it ok to put ashes into a compost bin?
My dad & I have been growing tomatoes for years but this year, the leaves on some of his otherwise healthy plants have turned a kind of rust colour.Some of the leaves on my plants have turned whitish in the centre of the leave or often the leaf is speckled with this whitish colour. Are these some kind of blight or what do you think?
When my stawbwerry plants have finished for the season and they start to dry up & wither, is it ok to leave the pots as they are out in the open for the winter OR, do they need to be in a shed/ sheltered area? If it's the latter, when can I take them out of the shed /sheltered area for next year?
I would love to see a pig composter in situ before investing. Any ideas or information on same would be appreciated.
Just purchase Raspberries..variety on the packet said 'MARAVILLA'. They were tasty, large and looked good. Can I grow this vaiety myself. Would I need a glass house/tunnel. How do I get this variety
New grass seed put down three weeks ago. It's coming up great but in some places it seems to be dying off in patches. Is there anything you can recommend for this or should we dig it up again.
