While walking by Carlingford Lough I came across this singular plant. It was growing in thick undergrowth and seemed out of place on its own. Could you please identify it for me? Picture attached.

My friend in the UK has problems with Lily beetles. She was asking if I knew how to get rid of them. All I know is that they are red and to pick them off. Can you give us any other advise?

I found a vine weevil in the compost when I was emptying my wormery. Is the compost now unusable? Do you have suggestions on how I could rescue the compost without having to go through it for grubs?

I planted tulips for the first time last autumn, and got a really lovely healthy display this spring-time. They are about to finishing flowering now. When can I cut back the greenery? Do I leave the bulbs in-situ in the ground? Do they need to be fed?

I live in mid Kerry. I have a huge Gunnera manicata in my garden. It soaks up a lot of moisture and is an 'architectural' feature. However I spotted two samples growing in a neighbour's drain last year. I have removed the seedheads from my specimen this year. I'M WONDERING SHOULD I remove my plant as I don't want to leave an invasive plant as my legacy in the locality. What's the best method please? I saw it in Kilmacura Gardens, Wicklow last week and was surprised.
