This has just finished flowering & is a mass of seed heads . Can I cut it back as it is leggy and potentially unsightly? Or how do I ensure it will be there next year. Fabulous scent.

My neighbour's large sycamore tree reaches over into my garden, where I am growing various vegetables for consumption. It is infested with Sycamore aphids, and my plants are being covered with the sticky honeydew. It is not the end of the world, I suppose, but is there anything that can be done to lessen the problem?

Every description of Japanese Maple says "small tree". Not so, mine in Glengarriff - see picture! It is a beautiful specimen but can I prune some of the lower branches to reduce some of the width to allow the azaleas either side to have a bit more space or would I be putting it at risk? Suzie

I have a well established blackcurrant schrub which has a disease on the leaves. I was told it is "rust" and have started to treat it with a copper treatment which i use every forthnight. My question is, are the fruit safe to eat? long term will it rid the schrub of the disease or will i have to keep spraying every two weeks? i notice just before the two weeks are up the "rust" is showing again. Thanks

i planted an acer platenoides 2 years ago, last year leaves grew but this year although the buds grew, they never opened. However a small shoot has grown at the foot of the tree. Should I leave it alone or replace it
