Hi Gerry. I successfully sowed 'Gardeners Delight' and had many plants happily growing in my conservatory, getting watered every day and fed roughly once a week. However, in the last few wks the growing stems have started to grow in a funny way. They have swollen and become almost white. It is like they have become stunted and look rather ugly. The flowers that were developing have not come on and I cannot find any disease that could describe what has happened. Are they done for??

I have a 290lt composter, from February '08. (from V & W Recycling, Dundalk). It's half full now, with fruit, veg., eggshells, egg boxes & grass cuttings. It has a lid & a solid base. Today, when checking the hatch at the bottom, absolutely nothing has happened. I even added "accelerator" last month. It's in an open site, getting the sun. What am I doing wrong??Many thanks.Maire

We planted two silver birches, both 12 foot high and they have got progessively worse, now most of the leaves on both of them have gone very brown and autumnal looking, and very dry. I think they are dying. What is the best course of action now?Kind Regards ,Peter Clements
