I have grown potatoes from cuttings fairly successfully in the past. Reading about spacing, and hoping to improve the crop, I have cut back to soil level some plants (they are all just under a foot high) to give space to the others. However, as many of the stems are from the same cut pieces, I wonder if I have made a big mistake? No sign yet of damage, but I do fear!

hi gerry. latley ive notice that ivy seems to be growing strongly around the country which seems to kill trees slowly, its a pity so see some trees covered with it. is there any spray i can use to kill it as here at home its growing very strong ive tried to cut it at the bottom of the trees but it comes back again very quick. many thanks ken

I am putting down a wooden fence & my garden is bordering a field. There is heavily overgrown grass & weeds between the field and my garden so I need to clear it. It is too strong to "pull".What grass / weed killer would you recommend ?DeniseDenise.What course of action would you recommend ?

My heather bed (spring heathers) has been badly neglected and is overcome with grass growing right up through it. Some of the heathers have gone woody and brittle. Can I save them at this stage and how do i keep the grass out of it.
