I have read recent articles advising to spread nitrogen based products to help fertilise and green the lawn. Although I am careful to water afterwards I find that I am left with brown scorched marks throughout the lawn. Can you advise on what product to use which will green my lawn but avoid this damage. Can you also please explain what is sulphate of iron and what its used for.

My buxus are a yellowish green and not the deep rich green they once were. The feeds I have treated them with just give growth spurts requiring alot of work trimming but no not restore the deep lush green colour they used to have. A friend suggested iron treatments, Is this correct? What should I use?

I have a large arrangement of Buxus shrubs that appear to be continually deteriorating after the frost. The leaves are turning yellow/brown and are extremely dry. I have been watering and waiting to see if there is any recovery but the problem seems to be spreading further up through the plants from the roots. Is there anything I can do or any treatment I can give them. I would hate to loose them as the collection would be very difficult and very expensive to replace.
