I live in the countryside & the farmer in the field beside my house planted wheat crop this year. All my flowers/fruit & fruit bushes have hundreds upon hundreds of greenfly. I have planted flowers which help to attract insects to kill the greenfly, these flowers have been consumed by the greenfly. I spayed with soapy water, garlic water, organic spray & harsh chemical spray-none have worked. My sunflowers are disgusting, there is more green than yellow, my uncle (who is an avid gardener) was amazed at the amount of them. The farmer is sowing barley next year, will this infestation occur next year too?

My clematis cartmanii (avalanche) got greenfly & what looked like blackfly. But they only seem to be on the new growth which happened over Christmas, we brought it indoors during the bad weather for a week & it grew uncontrollably.I sprayed it with suddy water, which didn't work. I bought a spray & used that, I'm waiting to see if it will work.Unfortunately the leaves on clematis are wilting, going black on the edges & the leaves are dying. It's in a pot so I hope it's not clematis wilt. On the instructions it says pruning is not recommended, should I cut off the new growth (which is around 2ft) in the hope to save it? I'd appreciate any help.

I received a 3 year old goji berry bush before Christmas. When the cold weather hit I took it into my kitchen. The plant seemed to get confused & thought it was spring as it started to grow leaves.I have kept it beside my kitchen window & I noticed that the leaves are looking a bit wilted. After close scrutiny I saw tiny pale brown spiders & what looked like a miniature whitish insect, something like a mealy bug or a woodlouse, I'm not sure if that's what it is but it looks a bit like it. There is no bug on the leaves or flowers it just seems to be crawling around in the soil. Could these be normal soil bugs & I'm just a bit over protective about my goji berry bush?I have recently bought a lot of plants from a very reputable garden centre online but unfortunately my last purchase, a forget-me-not tree arrived to me with a disease. These plants haven't been in touch with each other but could they have infected each other? How can I salvage my goji berry bush?
