Last year I planted Cordyline 'Red Star' which had been growing in a container for two years and when new growth started from the base, I removed them cleanly, but new ones keep growing and the tree itself is not. Should I give up on it?

I have a fatsia japonica in a pot for about a year. Recently the leaves have begun to brown and die off and growth is stunted and new tips are brown. I thought it was the dry spell as it was in sun, but it hasn't responded to watering. Could it be vine weevils (there are lots in my garden) and can I save the plant?

I had a cordyline 'Red Star' growing in a container for about two years, and when I planted it in the border last year it sprouted from ground level. As I would really like to preserve the original crown and gain height, would it help if I remove all the ground level growth?

I planted cordyline 'Red Star' which had been growing well in a container for a couple of years, into open ground, this summer. I notice now that it has sprouted from ground level, and I am wondering if this will affect the main crown? It looks okay at the moment, maybe slightly discoloured in the lower leaves. Should I feed it or leave it alone?

I lifted a mature Choisya 'Sundance' last November (to facilitate garden work) in a hurry and put it in a container in a loose soil conditioner type compost - all I had. I pruned it severely to move it, and although it hasn't died entirely, it's not doing anything either. Is there any hope of recovery?

I bought a plant of Liriope Muscari about two years and it just deteriorated in ordinary soil, so I dug it up and potted it in ericaceous compost, but it is literally hanging on by a thread. It is a golden leaved variety. Why won't it thrive? I thought it was an easy plant!
