like every escallonia in the street, my six foot one has been dramatically effected by the dreadful disease. It is standing practically bare for the first time since planting 7 years ago. lots of the tips have no leaves but have dead flowers still on them and it is looking very depressed indeed :(i want to ask if i can go out and cut it back at this time of year or will that do more damage? im keen to get it into rehab!
