Am worried about potatoes that I have fertilized with aged horse manure for the first time. Are they safe to eat after the german scare? Also have looked up that if horse on antibiotics or dewormer its not good to put on your veg even if ecoli isn't there?Should manure only be used on flowers?I have 5 year old and pregnant wife should they eat the potatoes?
Tidying up around base of weeping cherry and found this wound. I think this has opened up quickly and over winter. Thing is its about to burst into blossom, and is otherwise on fine form. Its about 10m away from an apple tree that has canker: which I am trying to sort out. What caused this, and any possible treatment?
I have canker on small discovery apple tree: its on main stem, and it's not that old. If I get a replacement what would you suggest, and is there any steps I could take to reduce this from occurring again?
