I have a Red Robin hedge which gets the sun very early in the morning and up to midday. It is partly protected with my neighbour's house and is growing very well. However, the unprotected side has developed black spots and the new red leaves are falling off. Could this be the harsh weather of the previous two winters or that my neighbour has two Red Robin shrubs which are taking the goodness from the same soil, leaving mine weak and exposed to disease? The shrubs are getting very bare and I'm anxious that the leaves will not grow back.
