i have just cut down a very old ditch that has been there for i'm sure 30 odd years, i want to put in a hedge/ shelter belt as i'm putting up a polytunnel 48 foot long and 20 foot widethe garden is south facing and gets sun all day but i get severe frost and up to 90 plus mile an hour winds whats the best hedge to put in i'm thinking of laural and evergreen holly what do you suggest ?
Can I cut back lavender plants now? I want to move them to a new bed, and can i cut back aqualeigas? as they are huge this is their first year down and can i move them also? my climbing hydrangeas are in full bud will i bring them in to the shed for winter they are in large pots? whats the best way to store dahlias and gladi i have just taken up .

i photographed this orchid in a bog near me during the summer and would like to know if its a rare one ? its beautiful to look at and i'd hate to see anything happen to it as machinery is going in and out all day they have recently put up 18 to20 wind turbines in the bog would like your opinion please.
