Decideous trees for a wet area
Can you recommed some trees for a wet heavy part of the garden. Lawning it was vey difficult last year and it was left go wild. I have put in some drainage but it still seems to get waterlogged in winter. Mary McMahon

plants for a sloping bank

Hi GerryI have a sloping bank at the back of my house with a wet corner at one end. Can you recomend plants that are easy to maintain. I will be mulching between the plants. Are there are pictures of landscapped slopes that are mature. Sometimes it nice to see what the effect will look like in a few yearsWhat would you think of dogwood (red and yellow). Is this a hard plant to maintain.The effect of this plant in winter is nice.Mary

Escallonia Hedging

I planted an eccallonia hedge from one litre pots one week ago. When planting I added some fertilizer and compost to the ground. However after the weekend rain most of the plants have lost their leaves or their leaves are brown. Is this due to the fertilizer. Will these plants recover or will i have to replace them?
