I am a beginner gardener. I have lots of bulbs growing, which I planted deep (6").I would like to leave them there permanently. Could you please tell me if I could plant something over the top so that when they are finished, the weeds don't take over? I was thinking of some ground cover. Would the bulbs be able to get through Geraniums next spring or do they get too thick? Have you any other suggestions please? It is a sunny location with slightly acidic, sandy soil but I put loads of manure on top last autumn.
