How and when to grow willow from cuttings - i.e. 'wands' or 'sallies' as have heard them called. Location sth Wexford. Available locally but not sure how to go about - people say just take a snip and shove in the ground - is it that simple? Trying to create 'screen' along fence.

For a second year flowers have appeared on rhubarb plants, have cut them out but wonder what conditions are causing flowers to appear in the first place. I understand the plant wastes energy flowering at the expense of the fruit.

Looks like your description of 'leaf spot', with black spots on older leaves; but lots of dead leaves under foot, still green but crispy; flurries fall off if it's touched when passing. Could this be related to the Escallonia virus. New growth seems ok but wondering will it become infected too &/or will we be left with bald hedge when needs to be cut in few weeks? So, can it be treated & what with?
