Could I plant a few medium shrubs like skimmia along the wall maybe one on each wall. Any suggestions on medium size shrubs as garden is quite small.

I planted an acer ORANGE DREAM in a large pot early this month. It is showing withering of the young leaves around the edges.. The bigger green leaves are not affected.. I used John Innes No3 compost and added a little shrub fertiliser when planting.. I have watered in the normal manner for newly planted plants.

The above are growing among unkept shrubbery.I need to remove all and plant fresh shrubs there. Do I need several treatments of Rounup on the weeds, and how soon can I plant new shrubs there after treating and removing the weeds. How long between Rounup treatments on the weeds? All are there for 6/8 years.

I got a large tuber from friend and planted it in Spring in garden.It grew very large with beautiful large flowers The stems are 3-4 ins wide and blooms about 5ins.Height of plant about 2i/2ft..The heavy rain yesterday broke off one branch from just above ground. It has tiny roots. Could I plant this on for next year and how? Advice on overwintering the tuber in the soil.. I have a wooden shed with a window window
