Could you recommend fruit trees to put into an orchard, other than Apple, Pear, Plum, Cherry, which are already growing?
I am doing a project on Soil Types. Is there any electronic database available where areas in Ireland are identified by their soil types (e.g. Latitude, Longitude, Soil Type ). If not, is there any hard copy publication available whcih identifes areas by soil type.
I have an area about half acre I am goin to trun into a Lawn Meadow with wild flowers. I notice some recommendations , before planting with wild flower seeds , to get rid of top soil to make soil less fertile bef. I plan to get a jcb in to move topoil. My qustion is how much should I remove ? 1 inch, 6 inches a foot ?
I have 4 lillies whcih I planted last June and they are starting to flower now. Can i easily propgate these and turn the 4 into 12 for next year ?. I am wondering how I would go about doing this and is this the right time ?
I have a woodland area in the garden (about 25 metres long by 4 metres wide) which is under deciduous trees with very little light getting in during Summer.I want to have a Pathway and on edges some colour Will Grass grow under the trees (as the pathway) and what would you recommend for planting at each side of the pathway . There was a lot of Ivy there which I have killed with roundup so its pretty bare now under the trees.
