We have a raised area by the back door which is ideal for plants. Unfortunately it is also next to the oil burner. Are there any plants that could survive the oil fumes?

I’m making leaf mould with sycamore leaves that have tar spot in plastic bags (with a few holes in the sides). Is it likely that the temperature will be high enough to kill the spores? If not, can I still use the leaf mould for young trees and shrubs?

I seem to have all sorts of weird goings on at my place, here is another, i presume some type of mushroom, at first i though they were crow feathers but no, it’s the black ones rather than the cream mushrooms behind.


I have the attached in gravel/ stones, all over the place, looks like seaweed but i live in the country and miles away from the sea. Its slimy and very slippy if walked upon.
