Looks like your description of ‘leaf spot’, with black spots on older leaves; but lots of dead leaves under foot, still green but crispy; flurries fall off if it’s touched when passing. Could this be related to the Escallonia virus. New growth seems ok but wondering will it become infected too &/or will we be left with bald hedge when needs to be cut in few weeks? So, can it be treated & what with?
