We’ve cleared rampantly overgrown hedging and cut away lots of ivy around this 20′ tree and it seems to have responded – it’s bushier with more foliage. But it is still very twiggy and scraggly looking with as many small bare branches as leaf-bearing. Should we prune, and how – we’re total beginners?
