The picture attached is a Galway Bay rose I planted late last year. It is growing well. My Dad (RIP) was always concerned about rose suckers. He said it was very important to remove them. The Rose Expert book says that “if nothing is done to check this growth then suckers may take over the plant completely and the bush will have reverted”. What does this mean? And more importantly, is the one in the picture a sucker?
